Valerie Martinsen Seifert, DDS
Dr. Valerie Martinsen Seifert grew up in LaPorte, Indiana. She graduated as a Valedictorian from LaPorte High School where she was involved in numerous organizations and sports teams. She went on to Valparaiso University where she played soccer for the Crusaders and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree. Dr. Seifert attended Indiana University School of Dentistry and received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2007. While at IUSD, she was an active member of Delta Sigma Delta, an international dental fraternity, and a contributing author to its publication, Desmos.
In the fall of 2007, she opened a private dental practice in LaPorte and has since served her patients with putting their needs first. Over the past 10+ years, Dr. Seifert has experienced tremendous growth and has created an extraordinary practice. After marrying in 2017 and legally changing name, Dr. Seifert rebranded her practice as Maple City Dentistry beginning in 2018. The new name and brand reflect the practice’s commitment to continue to grow and better serve the oral health care needs of its patients.
Dr. Seifert is a member of the American Dental Association, Indiana Dental Association, Chicago Dental Society, Northwest Indiana Dental Society and the past President of the LaPorte County Dental Society. She serves as President of the board of the Northwest Indiana Dental Society for the 2020-2021 term, is also a fellow in the Pierre Fauchard Academy and a member of the Academy of General Dentistry. She participated in the Indiana Dental Association’s AIR Leadership Program in 2014-2016. She is also honored to serve in the Indiana Dental Association House of Delegates and on the Dental Benefits and AIR Program Subcommittees.
Outside the office, Dr. Seifert is committed to community service and dedicates her time to various organizations including Big Comedy LaPorte and the LaPorte County Family YMCA. In her free time she loves spending her time cooking in her kitchen or running, biking and hiking outdoors with her husband Jason and two stepsons.
Tricia R. McKie, DDS
Dr. Patricia McKie grew up in Crown Point, Indiana. She graduated in the top 10 of her class from Andrean High School where she played soccer and basketball and was a member of National Honor Society. She went on to Purdue University where she graduated with a degree in General Health Sciences, with minors in biology and sociology. Dr. Trish attended Indiana University School of Dentistry and received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2014.
Dr. Trish spent her first two years of practice in Northern Indiana growing her skills and getting to know patients in the area. After marrying her husband in 2016, she moved to Hawaii and then Florida where she practiced until joining the team at Maple City Dentistry in 2021. Practicing in multiple states has allowed Dr. Trish the unique opportunity to see dentistry from many different viewpoints, both clinically and from the patient’s perspective. She looks forward to meeting the patients of Maple City Dentistry and providing them with high-quality care that they have come to expect from Dr. Val.
Dr. Trish is a member of the American Dental Association, Indiana Dental Association, Northwest Indiana Dental Society, and the LaPorte County Dental Society. She is also a member of the Academy of General Dentistry.
In her free time, Dr. Trish loves spending her time with her husband, son, and dog. Together they enjoy outdoor adventures, visiting parks, and exploring The Region. Dr. McKie also loves playing and watching sports, especially college football and basketball (Boiler Up!) and baseball (Go Cubs Go!)
